“Dave’s Not Here!!” is a site for people who like music but don’t have the time or the inclination to surf the net. I listen (on average) to about 100 to 200 songs a week looking for good music: jazz, blues, classical, country, rock, world, even rap. All MP3s I recommend will be free and can be downloaded. In some cases you may be directed to a secure site to download the song or album. In addition if I come across an interesting article, we’ll provide a link. And if you hear something we should pass along, please let us know.

Download Notes
I consider myself “technically challenged” so I try to keep it simple. I download music into i-tunes exclusively. I get a lot of music off Amazon (check their “Free Songs And Special Deals” section) and usualy find the best individual song and album deals at e-music.

Who is David Hersrud?
I am a third generation automobile/equipment dealer (see us at hersruds.com) living in Sturgis, South Dakota (home of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally). I spent 6 plus years in the music industry (see photos) and 12 years as the host of “CD-TV”. I”m not a musician, I’m not a critic, and I’m definitely not as young as I was in the pictures. I just love music.

Thanks for visiting “Dave’s Not Here!!”. If you like us tell your friends. If you don’t keep it to yourself. Comments, suggestions, rants, ideas, etc. are always welcome. If you know of anyone who you think might be interested in my little endeavor send their email address to me at dh1@rushmore.com.
I would be remiss in not thanking the incredibly patient folks at Robert Sharp and Associates in Rapid City, South Dakota. Not only are they the ad agency for our dealerships, but they helped me get “daa” up and keep it running.
